Our App is a unique guide to Bristol for locals and visitors alike, covering well known places and hidden gems, with local tips and ideas for exploring the city. The New Bristol Guide has over 75 additional locations and is full of photographs we’ve taken which offer a visual guide to the city and we’ve tried to draw on a wealth of local knowledge of Bristol.
Our App is a unique guide to Bristol for locals and visitors alike, covering well known places and hidden gems, with local tips and ideas for exploring the city. The New Bristol Guide has over 75 additional locations and is full of photographs we’ve taken which offer a visual guide to the city and we’ve tried to draw on a wealth of local knowledge of Bristol.Throughout the development, we were continually being amazed by surprising facts about Bristolian places, as well as things that make us view the city from a different perspective and appreciate its immense history, culture and variety. For example, many of us cross Bristol Bridge on the way to work, without realising its 750 year history, which includes people living and being killed on the bridge. We also found out about tucked away churches and less prominent statues of Bristolian figures, which tend to be taken for granted.
The Guide includes easy to use maps which have accurate pinpointing and directions, so you can quickly find your way from parks to statues to pubs when out in town with an iPhone or iPod.
We’ve received some great ideas on what to cover- helping us expand the menu of sites and delights that are featured on the App. Thank you to everyone who has been in touch and contributed some of their local knowledge. We’re aiming for even more unusual, lovely and unique Bristol places to be included in the guide in future so send us a comment or
